ORANGE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. mace (or 1 tsp. nutmeg)
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. orange juice
2 c. unsifted flour
2 tbsp. grated orange rind
2 c. quick cook oats

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl cream butter. Gradually beat in sugar until light and fluffy. Beat eggs in one at a time. Add salt, mace, baking powder, juice and flour. Mix thoroughly. Stir in grated orange rind and oats. Mix well. Drop batter by small spoonful on greased sheets 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly brown. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen.
