SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. butter (2 sticks) 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 pt. sour cream (1 c.) 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking powder 2 c. sifted cake flour 1/4 tsp. salt CRUMB MIXTURE: 4 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Cream butter; mix in sugar. Beat until light, beat in eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Then fold in cake flour mixed with salt and baking powder. Pour 1/2 of batter into buttered 10" bundt cake pan, then 1/2 crumb, then remaining batter. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. When finished, sprinkle with powdered sugar while warm. |
