I made this for a food coop gathering, using frozen blackberries from my garden and mostly organic ingredients, and it was a hit! I was asked for the recipe for the newsletter! I still can't get over how easy it was! I was strapped for time, and this recipe saved me!

I love, love, love the easy blackberry cobbler recipe! It takes under 10 minutes to prepare and my family and guests go nuts for it every time.

I use a variety of fresh and frozen fruit: blackberry, raspberry, plum, apple/cinnamon, strawberry. Peach...

The only suggestion I have: if you like the top to be crispy and golden, cook it for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs (depending on your stove and elevation). I cook mine until the sides start to pull away slightly. Wait 15 minutes to serve to give the crust a chance to crisp.

This is the best blackberry cobbler ever! I used fresh blackberries instead (6 oz.) and I macerated them before hand with a little sugar and a touch of water, but other than that this was a beautiful thing!!!

Other than the fact we use 1 cup of self rising flour instead of additions to all purpose, this is the same recipe my family has used for years. You can use this same recipe and just change it to peaches or other fruits for a different cobbler every week!!

This is so simple and delicious. Its exactly the effect I was going for, being either identical or very similar to the type of cobbler I grew up with. Works with fresh or frozen berries of any variety... Omnomnomnom

This was an easy to follow recipe, I looked at other recipes to get an idea of what normally goes in a cobbler. I included a little cinnamon and nutmeg along with about a 1/2 tsp. vanilla (just because they smell sooo good). My daughter tasted it soon after I pulled it out of the oven and is crazy about it, I hope the rest of the family is half as crazy. Thanks.
