MANDELBROT 
3 lg. eggs
1 1/8 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Juice and rind of an orange
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. whole walnuts
Sugar-cinnamon mixture for sprinkling

Beat eggs until very thick gradually adding the sugar. Add other ingredients. Spray 2 large cookie sheets with Pam. With a large spoon form the dough into 5 or 6 long strips. Sprinkle the strips with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake on the center rack in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges. Immediately, slice the strips about 3/4-inch wide on the diagonal. Put the strips on their side on the cookie sheets and return to oven. When golden brown on one side turn them over and toast other side (about 5-10 minutes on each side). Cool.
