CHRISTMAS MORNING CASSEROLE 
12 slices thin white bread
Butter
1 lb. sausage
1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
4 eggs
3 c. milk

Trim crust from bread and butter lightly. Saute sausage until lightly browned. Place 6 slices bread in 3 quart casserole, buttered side up. Spread 1/2 sausage and 1/2 cheese over bread. Place 6 slices bread on top, followed by rest of sausage and cheese. Lightly beat together eggs and milk. Pour over sausage mixture, press down until milk comes through. Refrigerate overnight uncovered. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6.
