1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. lemon drops, finely crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream Crisco and sugar, add eggs, lemon juice. Combine flour with baking powder, salt and crushed candy. Add this to the creamed mixture. Mix until well blended.

Roll in small balls. Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until edges just begin to brown. Cool slightly, remove from baking sheets. May frost if desired.
