TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/4 lb. butter
14 oz. pkg. caramels
7 oz. (1/2 can) sweetened condensed milk
6 oz. chopped pecans
6 oz. chocolate chips

Mix cake as directed. Bake 1/2 of mix in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Melt butter, caramels, and milk. Let cool slightly and pour over baked half of cake. Pour the remaining cake batter over. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. You may serve with whipped cream.
