1 tbsp. butter
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. walnuts
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. allspice
3 tbsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 lb. box chopped dates
1 qt. applesauce
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 c. flour (plain)
Optional (canned fruit)

Mix all ingredients together. Bake in greased angel food cake pan at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
