BAKED STEAK WITH CREOLE SAUCE 
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 tsp. oil
1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. beef round steak, boneless

Cook onion and green pepper in oil until onion is clear. Break up large pieces of tomatoes. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to cooked onion and green pepper. Cover and simmer 20 minutes to blend flavors. Trim fat from steak. Brown steak lightly on both sides in hot non-stick frypan. Place in baking pan. Pour sauce over steak. Cover and bake in moderate 350 degree oven until steak is tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Makes 4 servings.
