SOUTHWEST TACO PIE 
1 deep dish pie crust shell
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 can refried beans
1 jar taco sauce, hot or mild
1 c. each shredded Cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes

Preheat oven to 400 degrees, partially bake pie crust for 10 minutes reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef and onion, drain fat and stir in seasoning mix. In a small bowl combine refried beans and 1/2 cup taco sauce. Layer 1/2 of the seasoned meat mixture in bottom of pie crust and top with 1/2 of refried beans, repeat layers. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomato and remaining taco sauce. Makes 6 servings.
