3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. oil
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. water

Mix well all dry ingredients. Make 3 holes or wells in flour and pour oil, vinegar and vanilla in separate holes, pour water over, then mix (can be mixed in same pan as baked in). Bake in ungreased pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Beat until creamy, add:

1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk

Beat after each addition.
