MINNESOTA WILD RICE DRESSING | |
4 slices bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces 1 c. onion, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced 1 pkg. (4 oz.) wild rice, cooked according to pkg. directions 2 c. bread crumbs 1/2 lb. breakfast sausage 1 tsp. dried oregano 1/2 tsp. dried sage Salt and pepper to taste In a medium skillet, over medium heat, saute' bacon until almost crisp. Add onion, celery and mushrooms; continue cooking until vegetables are tender. In large bowl combine bacon mixture, wild rice, bread crumbs, sausage and seasonings. Spoon dressing into lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish. Bake covered at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. |
