CARDAMON ROLLS | |
2 c. hot milk 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 tsp. salt 15 cardamon seeds 1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 c. flour Remove seeds from cardamon and grind fine. (I use a pepper grinder), add to hot milk with shortening, sugar and salt. When lukewarm add yeast (mixed with a little tepid water if need be), add flour. Mix and allow to rise. Add flour enough to make stiff dough. Knead, let rise again. Then make into rolls. Let rise again. Bake in moderate oven |
