SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
5-6 eggs, separated
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolks and mix. Add sour cream and mix. Add vanilla and mix in 1 cup flour. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in with spoon. Add rest of dry ingredients. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
