TOMATO PRESERVES | |
5 lb. tomatoes, red or yellow 4 lb. sugar 2 lemons 1/2 tsp. salt Pour boiling water over tomatoes and remove skins. Put in stainless steal or China bowl and add sugar. Let stand overnight. Drain off juice and boil until it forms thread. Add tomatoes thinly sliced lemons and salt. Cook until thick and clear. Put in sterile jars and seal. |
