BERRY GLAZE PIE 
1 qt. berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.)
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 baked 9" pie shell
Whipped cream or Cool Whip (optional)

Crush 1 cup berries; add water and bring to boil; simmer 3 minutes. Add water if necessary to make 1 cup liquid. Combine cornstarch, sugar and salt; add to liquid. (Stir until smooth.) Bring to a boil and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Cool completely. Stir glaze into berries (coat completely). Pour filling into baked pie shell. Refrigerate until firm; several hours or overnight. Add whipped cream or Cool Whip if desired.
