TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate pudding cake mix 2 sticks butter 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 1 c. chopped nuts 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk Mix cake as directed on box. Take 1/2 of cake batter and 1 stick of butter and 1/2 can of the milk; mix well. Bake in 13"x11" pan for 40 to 50 minutes in 300 degree oven. Melt caramel over hot water, add 1 stick butter and 1/2 can milk. Spread over baked cake. Sprinkle 1 cup nuts over caramel and rest of cake batter. Bake 40 to 50 minutes in 300 degree oven. Test with toothpick. |
