PETE'S SWISS STEAK 
3/4 lb. round steak (or similar)
1 carrot, chopped
1/2 sm. onion, chopped
Small can mushrooms

Put steak in skillet with lid. Brown both sides. Salt and pepper. Add water to cover. Add carrot and onion. Dash Worcestershire sauce, dash sherry, dash garlic salt, dash dry ground parsley, dash of Accent (MSG). Cook with lid on for 1 hour adding water as needed.

Let liquid get low then add mushrooms. Cook another hour or until meat separates under fork pressure. Serve topped with stock.
