Strawberry cake mix
Ingredients to make the cake as per instructions on the box
Cool Whip (lg. container)
2 sm. boxes frozen strawberries (defrosted)

Prepare strawberry cake mix per instructions on the box; bake in 2 round pans. Let cake cool. Poke with a fork each layer of cake several times so that defrosted strawberry juice can soak into the cake. Place 1/2 of the strawberries on bottom layer of cake. Cover with Cool Whip. Place top layer of cake on top. Layer with strawberries and cover with Cool Whip on both top and sides of the cake.

Cake should be layered as follows - cake, strawberries, Cool Whip, top layer of cake, strawberries and Cool Whip on top and sides.
