2 c. instant coffee powder
7 c. sugar
1 qt. boiling water
1 qt. vodka
1 vanilla bean

Mix coffee powder and sugar. Pour boiling water into mixture; cool. Stir in vodka. Drop vanilla bean into half gallon or jug. Add mixture, seal, and let stand 3-4 weeks. You may want to bottle in smaller quantities, tie a bow around it, and use for gifts. Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
