FLAT BREAD 
4 1/2 c. white flour
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. graham or whole wheat flour
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. lard, cut in as for pie crust

Add: 1 c. buttermilk

Divide dough into 16 parts. Let rest 15 minutes, then roll out very thin on floured board. Prick with fork and bake at 375 degrees until it begins to brown on edges. After baking, quickly cut into small pieces.
