2 lbs. ground beef 1 can kidney beans 1 lg. (29 oz.) can crushed tomatoes 1 sm. green pepper, chopped 1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder 2 med. onions, chopped 1 lg. or 2 sm. cloves garlic, chopped and crushed 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds 1 1/2 tsp. flour 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 1/2 tsp. salt Cooked spaghetti Brown meat; break it up and turn. Put in large pot, after draining off fat. Over moderate flame, add beans, tomatoes, chili powder, salt and pepper. Brown onion and garlic in oil. Add green pepper. Add onions, garlic and green pepper to large pot. In heavy pan, put flour and caraway seeds; brown both. Let meat mixture simmer 45 minutes, stirring often. Just before done, add flour and caraway. Mix and cook 5 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti. |
