ANISE LIQUEUR 
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. water
1 fifth 188 proof grain alcohol
2 (1/2 fl. oz.) bottles La Torinese flavor Rosolio

This can be purchased in Italian Deli - gives the Anise flavor.

Dissolve sugar in water. Over low heat bring to boiling point; cool. Pour in 1/2 gallon screw-type jar; add alcohol and Rosolio flavor. Close jar; store in cool place for at least 2 weeks. Serve from a decanter.
