VANILLA COFFEE LIQUEUR 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 c. water
1/2 c. instant coffee powder
3 c. vodka
2 tbsp. pure vanilla extract

Combine sugars and water. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Gradually stir in coffee using a wire whisk. Cool. Pour in jar or jug. Add vodka and vanilla. Mix well. Cover and let stand 2 weeks. Makes about 5 cups. Can be used in "Kahlua Cake" - recipe in this book.
