GREEN BEANS WITH WATER CHESTNUTS 
3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen French style green beans, thawed
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. minced onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 (5 oz.) cans sliced water chestnuts, drained

TOPPING:

1 tbsp. butter
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 c. slivered almonds

Melt butter; stir in flour, salt, pepper and onion. Add milk. Cook, stirring until thick and bubbling. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and Worcestershire sauce. Add beans and water chestnuts. Mix well. Put into casserole.

Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over beans. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven until heated through, 40-45 minutes.
