SOUR CREAM RAISIN COOKIES 
2/3 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sour cream
2 tsp. rounded baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
3 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. raisins
4 eggs
3/4 c. ground walnuts (optional)

Take the baking soda and add it to sour cream, it will expand. Cream butter, brown sugar, add eggs, beat in vanilla then mix in sour cream mixture, salt and flour. While mixing all this, cover raisins with water in saucepan, bring to a boil for a second, then drain water off. Pat dry, add raisins and optional walnuts to mixture. Drop teaspoon of dough onto cookie sheets. Space evenly and bake 8-10 minutes at 325 degrees. When cool, frost lightly with mixture of confectioners' sugar and a little milk.
