DOUBLE DAIRY BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs.
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. white flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. oatmeal, uncooked

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, soda and salt. Stir in oatmeal. Spread mixture over bottom of a 9 by 13 pan, ungreased.

FILLING:

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Beat milk, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Reserve 1/3 cup of the mixture for the frosting. Spread the rest over the oatmeal mixture. Put nuts over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until the center springs back.

FROSTING:

1/3 c. (reserved) filling
1 tbsp. milk
2/3 c. chocolate chips

Combine chips and filling over low heat; cooking until smooth. Add milk so frosting will spread easily. As soon as the bars come from the oven, spread frosting over the surface.
