APPLE PIE BARS 
4 c. thinly sliced apples
6 oz. apple juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar

CRUMB MIX:

1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine apples, juice, spices in saucepan. Cook till boiling and stir. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, stir into boiling mixture until thick and bubbly. Cool slightly. Combine crumb mixture. Press 2/3 of mixture into 15 x 10 inch pan. Put apple mixture on top of crumb mix. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars.
