AUNT DOROTHY'S PICKLES 
7 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
1 c. thinly sliced onion rings
1 c. thinly sliced green bell pepper rings
2 c. sugar
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. canning salt (table salt won't do)

Place cucumbers, onions and peppers in a large bowl and add canning salt. Let stand 1 hour. Mix sugar, vinegar and celery seed. DO NOT rinse cucumbers. Drain well and pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers, onions, and peppers. Place in tightly covered container and refrigerate overnight.
