PRUNE CAKE | |
12 c. white sugar 1 1/2 c. oil 18 eggs 12 c. flour 6 tsp. cinnamon 6 tsp. cloves 6 tsp. nutmeg 6 tsp. baking soda 6 tsp. salt 6 c. buttermilk 6 c. nuts 3 c. cooked raisins 3 c. prunes, cooked 6 tsp. vanilla Mix oil, eggs, buttermilk and large bowl. Mix all dry ingredients in another bowl, except prunes, raisins and nuts. Mix all separate then combine. Bake in 3 steam table pans, 12x20x2 inch. Bake 350 degrees, 30 to 40 minutes or until done. PRUNE SAUCE: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. vanilla 1 stick butter Combine all and boil for 1 minute. Pour hot over hot cake. Make at least 5 recipes for the 3 cakes. |
