HOLIDAY PRUNE AND NUT CAKE 
2 c. flour, sifted
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. prunes, cooked and cut up
1 c. Wesson oil
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped

Mix all ingredients together until well mixed. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan, at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

SAUCE:

ut sauce on cake right from oven:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil all above together, when full boil, take from stove and pour over cake. Let it cool. Serve cold with whipped cream.
