APPLE JELLY | |
1 1/2 c. unsweetened apple juice 3/4 tsp. lemon juice 6 whole cloves 1 stick cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin 1/3 c. cold water Sugar substitute to equal 1/2 c. sugar Combine juices, cloves and cinnamon in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, and simmer 10 minutes. Meanwhile, soak gelatin in cold water. Remove juice from heat; discard cloves and cinnamon. Add gelatin and sugar substitute; mix well to dissolve. Pour carefully into 2 hot, clean half-pint jars. Cover lightly until cooled. Cover and store in refrigerator. |
