GREAT GRANDMA VIANN CAMBRIDGE TEA | |
This is a very old receipt, popular in the 1700 and 1800 along the Eastern islands. It is used as a health tonic and to replace any hot drink. Tasty enough for children. 1 to 2 cups water 1 tsp to 2 tsp strong molasses milk (using about 1/3 milk) For one cup, fill a cup 2/3 full of water and microwave until very hot. Add 1 teaspoon molasses and stir well, fill to top with milk. Note: If used for anemia, use more molasses: 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons molasses. Makes 1 serving. Submitted by: Viann Clements |
