CAROB BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. flour
1/2 c. carob powder
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients; blending until smooth. Add nuts. Spread in a greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. May frost with carob frosting.
