CAROB BROWNIES | |
1/2 lb. butter (8 oz., 1 c.) 1 c. brown sugar (or 3/4 c. honey) 2 lg. eggs 1 c. flour 1/4 c. carob 1 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter. Remove from heat and add sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Blend flour with carob and fold into mixture. Add vanilla and nuts, mixing well. Pour into greased 6 x 9 inch pan. Bake in 300 degree oven for 45 minutes. Do not over bake as brownies should be chewy. |
