CHERRY CHEWBILEES 
CRUST:

1 c. walnut pieces
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco
1/2 c. flake coconut

FILLING:

2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch with Crisco. Chop 1/2 cup walnuts and save. Chop the rest finely.

CRUST: Mix flour and brown sugar, cut in Crisco until it crumbles. Add 1/2 cup walnuts and coconut. Mix. Remove 1/2 cup of mixture and press remaining mixture into bottom of greased pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

FILLING: Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Spread over crust. Bake 15 minutes. Spread cherry filling over. Sprinkle 1/2 mixture from crust. Bake 15 minutes. Refrigerate for several hours.
