2 c. light brown sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 c. soft butter 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt To make crumbles, reserve 1/2 cup for top. Add: 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg After putting this cake in a square tin, sprinkle mixture in cup over top and bake in moderate oven, about 45 minutes. |
