1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 3/4 c. sliced peaches
1 c. sugar

Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch or 10 x 10 inch pan. Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; pour on butter. Don't stir. Add peaches on top of this. Add remaining sugar over peaches. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with milk or cream.
