1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 tsp. sugar
Dash garlic
1/4 tsp. paprika
3 c. cooking oil

In large bowl mix together everything except oil. Bring oil to boiling point in large saucepan. Drop 1/2 teaspoonfuls of dough into oil until golden brown. Makes 50 hush puppies.
