CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream (or buttermilk)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix the cocoa and soda together and add the boiling water; cool. In a separate bowl mix the sugar and sour cream thoroughly. Then add the eggs which have been beaten separately. Add vanilla. Add cooled cocoa mix alternately with your flour and salt.

Bake in 9 1/2" x 13" greased and floured pan at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
