SHORT CUT LASAGNA 
1 lb. lean ground beef
3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. seasoned tomato sauce
1 env. spaghetti sauce mix
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt to taste
8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
8 oz. pkg. sliced Swiss or Mozzarella cheese
1 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Brown meat slowly, drain any fat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and garlic. Simmer 40 minutes. Salt to taste. Cook noodles in boiling salted water till tender, drain and rinse in cold water. Layer half of noodles, 1/3 of sauce, 1/2 of Swiss (or Mozzarella) and half of cottage cheese. Repeat layers, ending with sauce. Top with Parmesan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes, cut in squares. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
