1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. butter (oleo), melted 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, melted butter, vanilla, and nuts. Stir until it hold together. Press half of dough into greased 9 x 15 inch cake pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 8 minutes. Remove from oven and distribute chocolate chips over warm dough. Pour warm caramel mix over this. Drop remaining cake dough over top. Bake in 350 degree oven 18-20 minutes. Cool and refrigerate 1 hour. |
