NEVER-FAIL MERINGUE 
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cold water
1/2 c. boiling water
3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch salt

Blend cornstarch and cold water in saucepan. Add boiling water and cook, stirring until clear and thickened. Beat egg whites until thick; gradually add sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Gradually add cold cornstarch mixture. Top your favorite cream pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

This mixture of cornstarch, cold water and boiling water can be used with any favorite meringue recipe, if you have trouble with "weeping" meringue.
