ICE CREAM DESSERT 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 jar ice cream topping (caramel, chocolate, fruit, etc.)
1 qt. vanilla ice cream

Combine first five ingredients and pat into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, watching for even cooking.

Pat 1/2 of baked mixture into the bottom of an 8 x 8 inch pan. Pour 1/2 jar of topping over mixture. Cut ice cream into slices and lay on top of topping. Add remaining 1/2 of topping, then crumb mixture. Freeze until firm. To serve, cut with knife dipped in hot water.
