APRICOT DESSERT 
1 lb. vanilla cookies
1 egg
1 c. powdered sugar
3/4 stick butter
1/2 pt. whipping cream or Dream Whip
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 lg. can apricots

Crush cookies until fine and spread them in oblong glass baking dish. Reserve 1/2 cup cookie crumbs for topping. In a sauce pan, place the egg, powdered sugar and butter; Mix well and cook over low flame until thickened. Cool slightly. Pour over cookie crumbs, then sprinkle layer of nuts. Whip cream and spread half over nuts. Arrange apricot halves on whipped cream and cover with other half of whipped cream. Garnish with remaining crumbs. Refrigerate 24 hours.
