3 c. sugar
2 sticks (8 oz.) pure butter (1 c.)
8 eggs, very lg.
8 oz. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
3 c. flour plus 3 tbsp.

Mix sugar and butter well. Add eggs and flour alternately beating well. Add sour cream and flavorings. Beat well until smooth. Bake in greased and floured tube pan and one 9 x 5 x 2 3/4 inch loaf pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. May put all in tube pan 1 hour and 30 minutes or 3-4 loaf pans about 1 hour. Sprinkle with lots of powdered sugar when cooled.
