PUMPKIN LOAF 
1/3 c. butter (softened)
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. water
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light; set aside.

Combine eggs, water and pumpkin in a bowl and mix well. Add creamed butter and blend thoroughly.

Sift dry ingredients together. Add 1/3 of the pumpkin mixture at a time, stirring well after each addition. Mix in nuts and raisins.

Bake in a buttered loaf pan (9x5 inch) for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool on rack before serving. Yield 1 loaf.
