CUT OUT SUGAR COOKIES 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter

Cream. 1 tsp. vanilla

Add to creamed mixture. 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Sift and add. Chill dough overnight. Roll out on floured board. Cut with seasonal cookie cutter shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes till edges just start to brown.

FROSTING:

Enough for double batch. 3 c. sifted powdered sugar 3 tbsp. cream 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend butter and sugar. Stir in cream and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Tint if desired.
