TEXAS BARBECUE SAUCE 
3 tbsp. oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 lg. onion, minced
1 1/2 c. catsup
1 c. dark molasses
1/2 lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. hot red pepper sauce
1 can beer
2 tbsp. mustard

In saucepan in hot oil saute garlic and onion, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer about 1/2 hour or more. Make about 4 cups.
