GRANDMA'S BAKED BEANS 
1 pkg. dried beans
1/2 lb. salt pork
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion, whole
1/2 tsp. ginger
Hot water to cover
1/4 c. molasses

Pick beans over and cover with cold water and soak overnight. Drain, cover with fresh water and parboil 15 minutes until skin breaks when blown up. Drain, rinse with cold water. Scrape and score salt pork. Mix sugar, molasses, mustard, salt and pepper and ginger. Add 1 cup water. Put beans, salt and onion in bean pot and pour mixture over. Add water as needed to cover. Can cook in crock pot too, all day.
